The Artea Quartet was formed in September 2001 at the Royal Academy of Music, London, where the members of the quartet - Thomas Gould and Simon Hewitt Jones (violins), Ben Roskams (viola) and Ashok Klouda (cello) - are studying.

The quartet is due to make its debut performance at All Saints' Church, West Dulwich, South London (England) on Sunday 23 June 2002.

News Update:

The Artea Quartet will be making a 12-city tour of the UK during October-November 2002 in an exciting collaboration with a contemporary Dance Company, playing Shostakovich Quartet No.9. More details to follow shortly.
